On Monday, the BJP is set to kick off the third phase of its \’Parivartan Yatra\’ in Rajasthan\’s Jaisalmer district, in anticipation of the upcoming elections, with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh presiding over the launch, as announced by the party on Sunday.
According to the BJP\’s plan, the \’Parivartan Yatra\’ will traverse through 51 constituencies covering the Jodhpur division, Nagaur, and Ajmer, spanning an extensive distance of 2,574 kilometers during an 18-day journey. The conclusion of this yatra is scheduled for September 21st in Jodhpur, as detailed in a statement by the BJP\’s Jodhpur unit.
This expedition will encompass 33 constituencies across six districts within the Jodhpur division, including Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sirohi, Jalore, Pali, and Jodhpur. Additionally, it will traverse 10 constituencies in Nagaur district and eight in Ajmer district.
Throughout this yatra, the BJP has scheduled a total of 45 public meetings, with the final one scheduled for Jodhpur on September 21st.
In order to ensure the yatra\’s success, BJP national secretary and Rajasthan co-incharge Amrita Rahatkar, along with Jodhpur division incharge Jagveer Chhaba, recently visited Jodhpur to oversee the preparations. The party has also instructed its members and leaders to arrange transportation for these public meetings and actively encourage constituents to participate.
Rajasthan is set to hold assembly elections later this year.
On Sunday, Home Minister Amit Shah criticized DMK leaders, including the son of the Tamil Nadu chief minister, for advocating the abolition of \’Sanatan Dharma.\’ He also accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of labeling Hindu organizations as more dangerous than the Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Shah stated during a public rally at Beneshwar Dham in Dungarpur district, marking the launch of the party\’s Parivartan Yatra in the election-bound state, \”These individuals have exploited the issue of \’Sanatan Dharma\’ for the sake of vote bank politics. They have insulted (\’Sanatan Dharma\’).\”
Beneshwar Dham, a revered pilgrimage site among tribal communities, is situated at the confluence of the Som, Mahi, and Jakham rivers on the border between Banswara and Dungarpur.
