PM to lay foundation for Amrit Vatika

The Amrit Vatika, a memorial garden planned to be erected beside the India Gate, will cover an area of 12,000 square meters and is anticipated to welcome visitors within the next four to six months. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for Amrit Vatika on Tuesday evening, and soil from 766 districts has been collected for this special occasion.

Amrit Vatika will be positioned adjacent to the Netaji Bose statue, located under the Grand Canopy, and in close proximity to the National War Memorial. This new landmark is designed to commemorate 75 years of Independence and pay homage to the valor of lesser-known freedom fighters. The event will also mark the conclusion of the \’Meri Maati Mera Desh\’ campaign at Kartavya Path, with representatives from all 766 districts in attendance.
