While addressing a gathering of journalists in Udupi this Wednesday, he emphasized that the central goal of the convention is to request the Chief Minister\’s support in establishing a dedicated development corporation for the Bunts community and advocating for the reclassification of their reservation category from 3 (B) to 2 (A). The event is expected to draw a substantial crowd, with an estimated 50,000 attendees anticipated over the course of two days.
The convention is set to include a sports event on October 28 at the Mahatma Gandhi district stadium in Ajjarakad, while cultural performances are planned for October 29 at the Ammanni Ramanna Shetty open-air ground.
Prominent personalities like Sunil Shetty, Rakshith Shetty, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Rishab Shetty, Gurukiran Shetty, Raj B. Shetty, Yash, and others will honor the sports meet with their presence.
The Home Minister, G. Parameshwar, will be the esteemed guest of honor for the opening session of the cultural programs on October 29. Additionally, there will be a seminar addressing the challenges confronting the Bunts community in terms of education and unemployment, scheduled for the same date.
