On October 28, a temporary closure of numerous schools and colleges across 35 districts in Uttar Pradesh has been mandated. This measure has been implemented to facilitate the efficient management of the Subordinate Service Selection Commission Preliminary Exam Test (PET-2023).
The UPSSSC PET 2023 is scheduled to occur on October 28 and 29, spanning two different sessions. It is estimated that more than 20 lakh candidates will participate in this government entrance examination. In order to ensure the proper administration of these exams, the government has issued a directive stating that no other examinations should be conducted on these specified dates. Additionally, official orders have been issued to schools in these 35 districts, instructing them to suspend their regular activities during this designated time.
The government\’s instructions, relayed to the Higher Education, Secondary Education, Primary Education, Vocational Education, and Medical Education Departments, emphasize, \”The respective institutions should communicate to their departments not to schedule any exams on October 28 and 29, and the exam centers conducting the written PET exam should observe an academic holiday on October 28 to ensure the seamless execution of the PET exam.\”
