Unchanged Aussies bowl first in hunt for series victory

Sarah Glenn, the spinner from England, will be absent from the crucial third and final Ashes ODI in Taunton. Unfortunately, she had to undergo an appendix removal surgery. The home team, led by Australia captain Alyssa Healy, won the toss and elected to bat first.

Glenn had been performing well, taking a wicket in each of the previous two one-dayers. However, England will have to make do without her leg-spinning abilities as they strive to equalize the multi-format series. The diagnosis of appendicitis came after the conclusion of the second ODI on Sunday, leading to the subsequent surgical procedure to remove the affected organ.
