The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has submitted a proposal for the approval of the historic women\’s reservation bill during an all-party meeting held on the eve of the special Parliament session, as stated by NCP leader Praful Patel.
In the meeting, Patel, who serves as the working president of the NCP and is a devoted supporter of Ajit Pawar, expressed, \”During the government\’s all-party meeting conducted on the eve of the Parliament session, I put forth a proposal for the adoption of the groundbreaking women\’s reservation bill in commemoration of 75 years of our Independence and the inauguration of the New Parliament Building,\” as reported on X.
He underscored, \”This would genuinely serve as a commemoration and representation for 50 percent of our population, eagerly awaiting acknowledgment and respect in our society.\”
During the meeting, numerous political parties, including those from the ruling NDA and the opposition INDIA bloc, fervently advocated for the approval of the women\’s reservation bill during the upcoming five-day session, which is set to commence on Monday.
