Donald Trump: Hackers claim ex-president dead on son’s X Account

In a series of posts that have since been removed, the account made the claim that his father had passed away and employed offensive language directed at President Joe Biden.

These posts were published on a page with 10 million followers but were swiftly removed within an hour.

The Trump Organization has suggested that the account was compromised due to hacking.

One of the posts conveyed, \”I regret to inform you that my father, Donald Trump, has passed away. I have plans to run for president in 2024.\”

Another post referenced imminent consequences for North Korea, while one hinted at engaging in \”intriguing discussions\” with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Additional posts mentioned Richard Heart, a cryptocurrency influencer facing fraud charges from the Securities and Exchange Commission, and YouTuber Logan Paul.

During the period when his son\’s account falsely reported his passing, the father posted an unrelated message on his Truth Social account.

Andrew Surabian, a spokesperson for Mr. Trump Jr., posted on X that \”Don\’s account has been compromised,\” underscoring the fact that the information posted was \”clearly untrue.\”

Mr. Trump Jr. has subsequently posted on X (formerly Twitter) but has not explicitly acknowledged the compromise of his account, except for \”liking\” a tweet that referenced the hacking incident.

X has been contacted for a response, with an automated reply from the company\’s press email stating, \”Currently busy, please check back later.\”

Mr. Trump Jr. has continued to use the social media platform owned by Elon Musk.

Truth Social, founded by the former president after his X account was suspended in 2021 due to concerns about incitement to violence, was reinstated in November of that same year.

Mr. Musk assumed control of Twitter in October 2022 through a $44 billion (ยฃ37 billion) deal and rebranded it as X.
