The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for an extensive celebration of the 99th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25. Born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on December 25, 1924, Vajpayee served as the nation\’s prime minister three times.
To mark this occasion, BJP National President JP Nadda has instructed party officials and state presidents across the country to pay tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee by placing floral offerings at his portrait in all party booths. They are also encouraged to participate in discussions about the exceptional personality and contributions of the former Prime Minister.
In commemoration of Vajpayee\’s poetic abilities, creative programs will be organized at every booth, constituting part of the six booth-level initiatives introduced by the party. These events will involve discussions on government schemes, accomplishments, and the principles of good governance for the public\’s benefit.
December 25 not only signifies Atal Bihari Vajpayee\’s birth anniversary but is also celebrated as Good Governance Day. The aim of Good Governance Day is to improve public access to various government programs and services, ensuring fairness in treatment and widespread utilization of government services.
On this day, the Department of Personnel and Training plans to inaugurate Good Governance Day, aligning it with Atal Bihari Vajpayee\’s birth anniversary.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai unveiled a significant initiative on this occasion, announcing that the state government would provide a two-year bonus to approximately 12 lakh farmers.
Addressing the Atal Geet Ganga Program on the eve of Vajpayee\’s birth anniversary, Chief Minister Yogi emphasized the groundwork laid by Vajpayee for schemes benefiting the poor, essential infrastructure projects, and the global recognition he brought to India. He also mentioned the upcoming inauguration of the grand temple dedicated to Lord Ram by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2024.
As 2024 marks the centenary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee\’s birth, the Chief Minister outlined various programs scheduled throughout the year. The \’Atal Geet Ganga\’ event kicks off a year-long program, with grand celebrations planned at different levels, including development blocks, gram panchayats, districts, commissionerates, colleges, universities, assemblies, and the state level.
