PM Modi talks about AI at Kashi Tamil Sangamam, flags off Express train for Kanyakumari

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the second iteration of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam at Varanasi\’s Namo Ghat and launched the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express—an express train service linking Kashi Vishwanath and Kanyakumari.

During the inauguration, PM Modi emphasized the incorporation of advanced technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), into the event. He expressed optimism about AI facilitating more accessible communication, highlighting the AI-driven Tamil translation of his speech through Bhashini for the Tamil-speaking audience.

PM Modi also commenced the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express, reinforcing the cultural linkage between Varanasi and Kanyakumari.

Addressing the gathering at the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, the Prime Minister extended a warm welcome, acknowledging the attendees as an extension of his family. He underscored the distinctive bond between Tamil Nadu and Varanasi, representing a spiritual connection between the homes of Mahadev.

Attributing the shaping of India as a nation to ancient philosophers like Adi Shankaracharya and Ramanujacharya, PM Modi highlighted their contribution to fostering spiritual beliefs, setting India apart from political definitions prevalent in other countries. He expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between Banaras Hindu University and IIT Madras, particularly lauding the \’Vidya Shakti\’ initiative benefiting students from Kashi in the fields of math and science.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to PM Modi for his visionary approach in organizing the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, characterizing it as a harmonious amalgamation of North and South. The event, scheduled from December 17-31, will witness the participation of 1,400 dignitaries from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, touring Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya. The program aims to showcase the cultural traditions of Kashi and Tamil Nadu, fostering stronger ties between the two regions. The Union Ministry of Education, in collaboration with various other ministries and departments, is working together to ensure the success of the event.
