Who is Shweta Sharda, 23-year-old who will represent India at Miss Universe 2023?

The 72nd installment of the Miss Universe pageant is scheduled to take place in El Salvador on November 18, featuring participants from more than 90 countries, all competing for the esteemed crown.

India will be represented in the Miss Universe 2023 pageant by 23-year-old Shweta Sharda, who earned her spot by winning the Miss Diva Universe 2023 title in August.

Born on May 24, 2000, in Chandigarh, Sharda was raised by a single mother. At the age of 16, she moved to Mumbai with her mother. According to information from Femina Beauty Pageants, she successfully completed her graduation from the Indira Gandhi National Open University in Delhi.

Sharda has displayed her talents on various dance reality shows, including Dance Deewane, Dance+, and Dance India Dance. Additionally, she assumed the role of a choreographer in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.

In August, Sharda emerged victorious at the Miss Diva Universe 2023 finale held in Mumbai, earning her the opportunity to represent India at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant.

During the competition, Sharda expressed that her mother holds the position of the \”most influential person in her life.\” On her pageant profile, she shared that her proudest moment was teaching dance steps to renowned Bollywood actors such as Deepika Padukone and Madhuri Dixit. She stated, \”When I got a chance to work and teach my dancing to India’s most beloved actors I have seen on television or the big screen, like Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Mouni Roy, and Vaibhavi Merchant, the evergreen diva Madhuri Dixit!\”

With a substantial following of over 500,000 on Instagram, Sharda has also been featured alongside actor Shantanu Maheshwari in a music video titled \”Mast Aankhein.\”
