The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is currently in the process of drafting a review petition in response to the Supreme Court\’s dismissal of the bail application of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
According to confidential sources, Manish Sisodia\’s legal team is on the verge of filing a review petition with the Supreme Court.
On Monday, the Supreme Court declined his bail requests in connection with cases of corruption and money laundering related to the Delhi liquor policy. The court\’s decision was rooted in the preliminary establishment of a potential money trail involving Rs 338 crore in the case.
The judicial panel acknowledged that a critical aspect related to the transfer of Rs 338 crore \”seems provisionally substantiated,\” leading to the rejection of the bail applications.
Earlier today, Delhi Minister Atishi expressed her disagreement with the Supreme Court\’s verdict. She emphasized the party\’s respect for the Supreme Court while registering her dissent with the decision to deny Sisodia\’s bail plea. The party is actively exploring alternative legal avenues, including the submission of a review petition.
With Sisodia\’s bail applications being declined, sources from the Enforcement Directorate conveyed to India Today that the court\’s ruling implies an acceptance of the investigative agency\’s arguments and evidence against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader.
