Tottenham working on loan deal with Barcelona for Ansu Fati

Reportedly, Tottenham Hotspur is considering the possibility of a loan move for Ansu Fati, a highly-regarded young winger from Barcelona. As indicated by Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are preparing to put forth an offer for the player and have initiated conversations with the Spanish champions.

In the 2019–20 season, the 20-year-old burst onto the scene, making 24 appearances and scoring seven times in LaLiga. However, a knee injury halted his remarkable progress.

Following that period, the Spanish international faced challenges in maintaining the same level of performance and slipped down the hierarchy at Nou Camp, as emerging talents Pedri and Gavi gained prominence.

He suggests that representatives of Xavi will require any interested party to cover his entire weekly wage of £230,000.

After their exit from the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, a mild rivalry for his services could potentially emerge between the north London club and Chelsea.

Nevertheless, there has been no formal outreach from the Blues concerning the rising star. Lamine Yamal, aged 16, has taken the spotlight, overshadowing Ansu Fati, who was previously praised as an exceptional talent by his Spanish international counterparts.

Having made his professional debut toward the end of the prior season, the right winger has participated in all three initial games for the Catalan club, contributing two assists.

Tottenham Hotspur must accelerate their endeavors to secure a deal for Fati before the closure of the summer transfer window on Friday.

Despite the departure of Harry Kane, the Premier League season has started positively for Ange Postecoglou\’s team. Tottenham has achieved victories against Brentford, Bournemouth, and Manchester United.

Even in Kane\’s absence, the club continues to play entertaining football and is resolute in bouncing back after a disappointing year that led to a ninth-place finish.
