Haryanavi vocalist Raju Punjabi passed away at the age of 40 in a medical facility located in Haryana. According to information from India TV News, he had been receiving treatment for jaundice and had been admitted to a hospital in Hisar, Haryana for a period of time.
Earlier this month, Raju Punjabi unveiled his final song. The report states that he was discharged from the hospital after showing signs of improvement in his health. However, his condition took a turn for the worse, leading to his readmission. Singer KD Desi Rock shared a picture of Raju from his hospital bed, along with the words, \”Raju wapas aaja\” (Raju, come back).
Devotees of the late singer were taken aback by the news. One individual expressed, \”A significant loss for the music realm, the maestro of melodies Har Dil Aziz, our beloved Raju Punjabi, has bid farewell to the world.\” Another comment conveyed, \”Heartbreaking news. The renowned Haryanvi singer #RajuPunjabi is no longer with us today. A father to three young children, Raju Punjabi held a special place in the entire Haryanvi industry.\”
An Instagram user shared, \”Today, we have lost our dear brother Raju Punjabi. May he rest in peace. Om Shanti.\” Another person lamented, \”We will miss you, legend.\” Someone else offered a prayer, \”May the divine grant the departed soul a place by His side. Om Shanti.\”
Just a few days prior, Raju had unveiled his final song, titled \”Aapse Milke Yaara Humko Accha Laga Tha\” (It Felt Good to Meet You). His most recent Instagram post was also related to this song. On August 20, Raju posted a video montage with a simple caption, \”Aapse Milke Yara Humko Achha Laga\” (It Felt Good to Meet You).
Raju Punjabi is recognized for hits like \”Aacha Lage Se,\” \”Desi Desi,\” \”Tu Cheez Lajawab,\” \”Last Peg,\” and \”Bhang Mere Yaara Ne,\” among numerous others. He had also collaborated with Sapna Choudhary on a project.
