Indian Revenue Service (IRS)
The Indian Revenue Service, or IRS, is a division of the Union Ministry of Finance’s Department of Revenue. It deals with the management and accumulation of various direct and indirect taxes for the benefit of the Union Government. It is a part of the central civil service and is a Group A service. IRS has two divisions: IRS (Income Tax) and IRS (Customs and Central Excise).
