Lawrence Bishnoi, an incarcerated gangster, has confessed to the killing of Sukhdool Singh, a Khalistani terrorist, in Canada. Sukhdool, also known as Sukhu Duneke, was associated with the Khalistan movement in Canada and tragically lost his life in a clash between rival gangs one Wednesday night.
In a Facebook post made by Bishnoi\’s gang, they asserted that Sukhu had played a significant role in the murders of Gurlal Brar and Vicky Middukhera. The gang described Duneke as a \’drug addict\’ who faced the consequences of his actions, as reported by NDTV.
Additionally, the gang issued a warning, indicating that their adversaries would encounter significant challenges, whether within India or in any other country, as stated in the report.
Sukhu Duneke had fled from India to Canada in 2017 using forged documents and had accumulated a total of seven criminal cases against him.
Sukhu\’s tragic killing followed closely after Canada\’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, mentioned in the country\’s parliament that there were \”credible allegations\” linking India\’s government to the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a prominent pro-Khalistan leader in Canada, which occurred in June of the same year. Trudeau\’s remarks immediately sparked controversy, with India dismissing the charges as \”baseless\” and \”motivated,\” resulting in the expulsion of a senior Canadian diplomat as a retaliatory measure.
Prominent global powers also weighed in on the situation. British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly emphasized the importance of respecting sovereignty and the rule of law, highlighting their ongoing communication with Canadian counterparts regarding the serious allegations raised in the Canadian Parliament. Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong echoed similar sentiments and underscored the ongoing investigation.
US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti called for close cooperation among international partners in the investigative process and urged accountability for those responsible. He also noted that it was premature for the United States to consider playing a role in mediating tensions between the two nations.
