ILO Projects Global Unemployment to Hit 5.2% in 2024:
According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), the global unemployment rate is anticipated to increase to 5.2 per cent in the current year, driven primarily by a rise in joblessness in advanced economies. The ILO\’s \’World Employment and Social Outlook\’ report for 2024 predicts that the number of unemployed individuals will grow by 2 million, causing a slight uptick in the global unemployment rate from 5.1 per cent in 2023 to 5.2 per cent in the current year. read more
