Manipur Peace Process : 

Twenty-five leaders of the National Revolutionary Front Manipur have joined the United National Liberation Front in a peace process, following a recent agreement with the governments of Manipur and India. This move is expected to promote peace in Manipur and encourage other Meitei underground outfits to pursue their demands democratically, aligning with the government\’s vision for a peaceful Northeast. COP28  Declaration on Climate, Relief, Recovery, and Peace: 

At COP28, the COP28 UAE Declaration on Climate, Relief, Recovery, and Peace was unveiled with support from 70 governments and 39 organizations. Notable commitments include $777 million for neglected tropical diseases, $900 million for community health workers, and over $1.2 billion for climate action in vulnerable communities. The \’Getting Ahead of Disasters\’ initiative saw 35 countries and organizations signing on. Read more

 

 

India\’s goal towards advanced economy by 2047 : 

The government aims to achieve an advanced economy status by 2047, with a target of reaching a five trillion dollar economy in the early Amrit Kaal. Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, emphasized the importance of a strong rupee and macroeconomic stability. The International Monetary Fund predicts India to become a five trillion dollar economy with the third-largest GDP by 2027-28. Cyclonic Storm MICHAUNG Progressing Northward Toward Bapatla District in Andhra Pradesh : 

Cyclonic Storm \”MICHAUNG\” in the West-central Bay of Bengal is moving north-northwestwards towards the south Andhra Pradesh coast. It is expected to make landfall between Nellore and Machilipatnam, near Bapatla, as a Severe Cyclonic Storm in the forenoon, with a maximum sustained wind speed of 90-100 km/h, gusting to 110 km/h.
