Tamil Nadu will witness history when one of its space start-ups launches its first rocket on March 22. This company, Agnikul Cosmos Private Limited, is based in Chennai.
Their rocket, Agnibaan SOrTeD, will take off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
It's special because it's India’s first private launch, using a semi-cryogenic engine and a 3D printed engine.
This launch will use liquid oxygen and kerosene and have advanced guidance and safety systems.
This is the second private rocket launched from Sriharikota, following Vikram-S in 2022.
