Atal Pension Yojana Enrolments Surpass 6 Crore Milestone: 

The Atal Pension Yojana (APY) has achieved a milestone with over 6 crore enrollments, including 79 lakh in the current financial year. Launched in 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, APY aims to provide old age income security to vulnerable sections, focusing on the poor and those in unorganized sectors. Subscribers become eligible for a monthly pension of Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 from age 60, with benefits extending to the spouse and nominee in case of demise. Read More


India Supports Ceasefire-Votes in Favor at UNGA Emergency Session on West Asia : 

India supported the ceasefire resolution in the UNGA\’s Emergency Session on the West Asia. The resolution called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict and the unconditional release of all hostages. The draft, introduced by Egypt, was adopted with 153 countries in favor, 10 against (including the US, Israel, and Austria), and 23 abstentions (including Argentina, Ukraine, and Germany). Centre Allocates ₹338 Crore for Gujarat and ₹634 Crore for Himachal Pradesh from National Disaster Response Fund: 

The Centre has sanctioned over 338 crore rupees in financial assistance to Gujarat, severely affected by Cyclone Biparjoy. Additionally, around 634 crore rupees from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) has been approved for Himachal Pradesh, which faced significant damage from floods, cloudbursts, and landslides during the southwest monsoon. The Ministry of Home Affairs stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi\’s leadership, advanced preparations and coordinated efforts between the Centre and Gujarat resulted in a zero casualty rate.
