Spinoza Prize

Dr. Joyeeta Gupta, an Indian-origin professor, received the Spinoza Prize in the Netherlands for her climate change research. The award was presented by Dutch Minister Robert Dijkgraaf in The Hague. Read more

Drone Pilots

Citizens can now become drone pilots using government-issued identity and address proof. The Ministry of Civil Aviation’s Drone (Amendment) Rules 2023 accept proofs like Voter ID, Ration Card, or Driving License for Remote Pilot Certificates if a passport isn’t available. Read more

Cable Television Networks Rules

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has amended the Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994, to decriminalize provisions of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995. This aims to boost investor confidence and make the Act more business-friendly. Read more
