Rajasthan BJP’s Baba Balaknath Meets JP Nadda, Observers Amid Chief Minister Suspense

Baba Balaknath, a prominent figure in the BJP in Rajasthan and a significant contributor to the party\’s triumph in the assembly election, engaged in discussions with party chief JP Nadda and the central observers of the BJP. This meeting is a part of the party\’s initiatives to designate chief ministers for Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.

As central observers, the BJP has selected Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda. During the meeting with Mr. Nadda, Rajasthan-specific observer Saroj Pandey joined the central observers, including Mr. Balaknath.

The BJP\’s considerable success in Rajasthan suggests the potential rise of another \’yogi\’ Chief Minister in the form of Mr. Balaknath, who recently resigned as the Alwar MP. Widely acknowledged as the \’yogi\’ of Rajasthan, he is esteemed as a robust Hindutva leader capable of reshaping the caste narrative in the state. At 40 years old, he emerged victorious in the Tijara assembly constituency.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje also held discussions with Mr. Nadda on the same day.

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlining the BJP\’s significant support from women voters and advocating for women-led development, the party may contemplate appointing at least one woman as Chief Minister. Notably, two out of the three observers designated for Chhattisgarh hail from tribal communities.
