The manifesto of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), disclosed on October 15, encompasses a range of commitments. These promises include the extension of life insurance coverage to ₹5 lakh for more than 93 lakh families living below the poverty line (BPL), drawing inspiration from the Rythu Bima program for farmers. Furthermore, the manifesto vows to supply high-quality rice to all ration card holders through the public distribution system as part of the Telangana Annapurna scheme. Additionally, it guarantees a monthly honorarium of ₹3,000 to eligible women under the Saubhagya Laxmi scheme.
During the manifesto unveiling event held at the BRS headquarters, Telangana Bhavan, the party\’s president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao also disclosed plans to enhance the Aasara pension amount for senior citizens, single women, individuals with disabilities, and others. This increase will be introduced gradually, elevating the pension from ₹2,016 per month to ₹5,000 for specific categories, and from ₹3,016 to ₹6,000 for physically challenged individuals.
